Ted I didn't say that they might not want to use force over diplomacy when they think force will work better. I said they don't believe might makes right. I don't understand the connection you are drawing between the two ideas. There is a difference between being confident that one is right plus being mighty and using that might, and believing that the fact that one is mighty makes one right.

Tim, both by their actions and by their words, Bush and Sharon show themselves to believe that the use of force [might] will set things right. To varying degrees, I think they are both wrong. With Bush, might may set some things right but it must be used carefully and judiciously to be most effective IMO.

With Sharon, he has played the might card so many times with so little effect its a joke. They need to get his butt out of office and put someone in who is more effective and knows what the hell is going on. Every day Sharon is in office the situation worsens IMO. The Israelis typically are not this slow to react. I am afraid the suicide bombers understandably have them very rattled and unnerved. Otherwise, Sharon would have been gone long ago.
