RTS,
This is much more like 73-74 which i remember. I was a broker then and our office(EF Hutton) had 20 guys and we were down to 5 trades per day and the NYSE was trading total 6 million shares/day. This went on until half the brokers in my office quite. Some drove cabs. Today we still have institutional volume but my friends say it is just as bad. I was out of the business by the time the decline ended and i dont remember how it did. But everday you thought it was the last was followed by another decline. Anyone have charts of that period. It may prove instructive. mike
