I'm watching the light reading top recovery candidates as the best tech stocks for bottom fishing... I do know that companies in the brcm space are ramping and hiring even now. One company near me MRVL is ramping, they compete with brcm, growth in this climate is rare so that area looks like a winner (wish I understood chips better though)

The top five public companies ranked in "Top Recovery Candidates" were Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO - News), QLogic (Nasdaq: QLGC - News), Broadcom (Nasdaq: BRCM - News), Brocade (Nasdaq: BRCD - News), and Advanced Fibre Communications (Nasdaq: AFCI - News).
