Ted, you and I may not like the fact Al Qaeda exists but unfortunately it does. So long as it remains illegitimate, it presents a very serious danger. By bestowing some legitimacy to it, you are given a chance to compromise its agenda. Otherwise, it continues to be a rogue organization owing allegiance to no one and underminding any hope for peace. Sound familiar? It should. Tenchusatsu, its not familiar at all. Hamas is a full fledged organization that operates primarily within the confines of Palestine and has significant ties to the Palestinian community. Al Qaeda is a series of cells throughout the world with ties to no one community. ted
