Ok, I got your global drift and, irrespective of Georgie Porgie in the Big White House, the lack of a "worldly enforcer". I'll have to think about the rest of your words because they don't flow easily around my network of neurons.

As a quick comment, I would say that your putting Qualcomm last in support of cdma as a 3g world standard is a bit of a stretch. You are stressing the choice of one "flavour" of cdma over another and the reality is that Qualcomm's flavour is up and running and the other is yet to arrive. In fact, the basis of Qualcomm's flavour (IS95) has been a "standard" since 1996.

Tell me, do you work with Tero or someone associated with Nokia, Ericsson, Siemens or Alcatel or a firm which acts as an agent for the buying/selling of the securities of any of the fine companies noted above? I'm just wondering.

More latter. Trevor (A Lowly Private Investor)

ps I met a young lady from Romania who used to worked for Nokia programming switches in 'C'. She was truly convinced that Nokia was the best wireless operation in the world. She knew little (almost nothing) about Qualcomm. She had lost her job in the telco slump and didn't want anything more to do with the industry. However, that didn't change her feeling about Nokia. From that, I take it that Nokia et al has highly devoted followers who may not be well versed with happening outside of the company's sphere. FWIW
