For years, Stern would present his ideological philosophy in nationalist terms, taken straight from the secular Zionist lexicon. Suddenly, last summer, a change took place in his rhetoric. Now he returns to the Bible. Only there, he repeatedly says, can one find the Jewish people's strongest argument for their claim to the Land of Israel.
