Tim, I think force may be appropriate under in certain circumstances. However, it should always be used reservedly.

As for the phrase, "might makes right", I am not sure what more I can say. While reluctantly willing to go through limited diplomatic process, Bush's words suggest that in his heart of hearts he believes only might will make Saddam right.
