I found a 3 month CD at 1.75% and am moving the cash there fast.

You can move another $100k to ING Direct, current interest rate of 2.75%. home.ingdirect.com

Another $100k to Washington Mutual offering the same rate. wamu.com

All FDIC insured. I have a big long list. When you're limited to only $100k for each account, you need quite a few.

The big returns will come putting that cash to use later on.

Conan,

When buying CD's one should buy less than $100,000. FDIC will pay you the interest due and capital up to $100,000.
