just bluffing
I don't know what he's doing, because it doesn't make sense. The only explanation that fits the actions and the rhetoric is the world conquest theory. I would have dismissed this as a crackpot conspiracy theory just a few months ago. A bluff has to stop when the opponent throws in his hand. Eventually you take YES for an answer. Saddam aquiesed to everything but suicide and yet Junior keeps twisting events to make it seem the smartest and most powerful foe the U.S. has ever faced is resident in Bagdad.

The members and aims of the Project for a New American Century, coupled with the official strategic defense policy, coupled with the complete indifference to the opinions of other world leaders points to conquest. Instead of a bluff, I think Junior and Co. mean what they say. They plan to crush all opposition to American hegenemy, and then rule like little Caesars dispensing favors to friends and missles to opponents. They want to do it NOW! before Cheney and Rumsfeld and Murdoch croak. This group of mad meglomaniacs have found their puppet, and their flock, and they are at least going to try to be kings of the world.
