True. However, is the best way to preserve your way of life attacking other countries whenever you perceive a threat, though? Will that not create even more resentment of what will surely be perceived as more proof of America's "bullying"? Will that not lead to more attacks?

If one day, some other country gets to be so strong that it can possibly hope to threaten America's way of life (invasion, etc) then, by all means, go into war, defend your country, your loved ones, and your way of life. There is no such threat right now. Saddam has been successfully contained in the past decade, in which time he has not shown any aggression to anyone, fully aware that it would be his end.

Attacking Iraq will kill thousands of Iraqi civilians. Whatever danger the American public perceives from Saddam, it is just not large enough to justify so many deaths. They may not be Americans, but they are still human, you know?
