Interesting. I didn't know that. I don't remember reading about distance estimates, but I wouldn't have remembered if I had. Maybe Shootie would know.

What do you think of the fact that he didn't fire a second round when he only wounded the two people? Could it be that he *thought* he killed them or that he's got some kind of 'one shot only' pride thing going?

And what was it that Special Ops were taught (from your other post)?

There was the statement that those close to the targets heard the blast as long as 1 1/2 second after the hit....this means he could be as far as 600 yards out....and this would be the ultimate range for this rifle.....I suspect the witnesses are wrong and that the impact and the sound would be under a second.

This rifle is firing as a velocity of approx. 3200 fps.
