Re : doing a quick check for text messages on a G* handset -- one little nagging worry with this : You cannot be confident of the time duration necessary for the G* system to "loop" through all of the pending, stored-up text messages waiting to be delivered to G* handsets (when they are finally turned on). I know that with Sprint PCS text messaging, for a long time after it was introduced, you could NOT count on text messages showing up "real fast." (But now -- you can ...) (But, Sprint PCS is still not 100% predictable). (Is anything ?) Jon.
