His last two attacks prior to Manassas were body shots and the victims lived.

While it's possible that he's demonstrating some version of restraint, to me it's far more likely to be indicative of either engaging targets from further distances than previously and/or firing quicker, under pressure: in either case, suggesting his looking to make a quicker getaway.

This "Michael's" thing is interesting, if assumed correct as you've stated it. His name? I don't know...maybe he delivers to and/or works for the chain? Maybe on foot, he hides his weapon in his pants leg, and walks to the craft store to browse for awhile afterwards.
