you guys are all way more sophisticated than me, lol.

i just use simple MA crossovers - but i change the fast/slow periods according to the "speed" of the market - and apply strict stop losses. add in a little max pain and earnings annoucement awareness and...that's it. not much of a method, won't win me an nobel prizes, but it has worked for quite a while now.

i figure the best any method can do on a day-to-day basis is about 60% accuracy, so as long as you don't do something truly ludicrous many methods that include discplined minimizing of losses will get you positive returns.

EDIT: first batch of qqq puts safely tucked away...

REEDIT: plus a decent mid-term map to the market also helps, and jeff has had the best one going...
