<I don't think Ford cars are bad, but I think Ford management is bad. They bend over every time and let the unions do their thing, ove and over. No wonder that they are in poor financial health.>

In comparison to what many car manufacturers (Honda, Toyota, Nissan etc.) are giving the public, Ford is horrible (with the exception of some trucks).

In regards to the unions, it never ceases to amaze me how management caves to them. Here in Ontario the auto workers picked GM as the strike target for the first time in 15 years. GM is by far the leader right now of the big three, so they can afford the unions demands this time around. After the union is done with the financially healthy GM they go over to Ford and demand basically the same contract. It's absolutely insane!

Fords have gone down in quality in the last 5 years or so. Up 'till then they had become pretty impressive.

As for Unions...they will bury a company before yielding.
Although I remember some actually making concessions...but with the bubble that has been formed...I don't expect too many will give up their lifestyle.
