You could argue that a recession was in the making before he came to power, but doesn't it bug you that not a single mention is made by Bush relative to the economy and what his administration can do to stem the tide?

It doesn't bother me much. Any attempt by government to turn around the economy is usually a net negative for the economy. I would like to see the tax cuts accelerated but politically this is probably impossible right now.

Doesn't it bother you that even his economic advisers have been hushed for the last several months to keep the topic from bubbling to the surface?

Doesn't it make you feel just a little more comfortable knowing that we now have a president whose priority is protecting the nation rather than asserting some bogus, nonexistent influence over the economy (the way you-know-who did)?
