<Good point Art. A LOT of people believe that companies are there to pay dividends.> Tax laws in the USA are stacked against companies paying dividends. As soon as the Feds abolish the law that double taxes dividends, more companies will be inclined to declare dividends. The chance of this tax cut passing the Senate has a snowballs chance in hell with the Libs in charge. Maybe, Nov 5th will shift the balance in the Senate needed to get this long over due tax cut through the Legislature.
