Well, karen, I was referring to the occassions when you might seek to persuade others, not to your posting.

As for the professional references, since you have characterized "moralizing" negatively, I was trying to bring up situations where the tack taken was ostensibly collaborative and "positive", and to note how that may not work out so well, and how people may prefer straightforwardness about what one thinks.
