We are faced with a great dilemma - whom to believe:

Buddy McKee; whose basis for his argument is that the Whitehouse did not ask for time

or

The most respected journalist in the past 40 years, who says that the lack of a request is irrelevant.

A real dilemma.

And If you read the comments from the Whitehouse, you would see that they have been very magnanimous about the fact it was not covered.

Yes they are giving campaign speeches, but that does not change the fact that for a campaign speech it would have been better timed two weeks later.

The base already knows that the networks are biased. Saying that it has motivated supporters to turn out in higher numbers is conjecture. The election is next month.
