First of all, does PR include bragging to the press about how good your PR plan is? That seems counterintuitive to me. Then there's your original response.

C'mon, John, that's inane. Especially from one who has read or is reading Pollack's book.

But the Bush folk get caught, repeatedly, treating it as PR.

So, it's inane for JohnM to point out that the WH handlers are treating the war as a PR problem, but the PR handling itself is admirable? Whatever. Something seems extraordinarily stupid around here, but I tend to associate that trait with people who take Dick Morris seriously.

It seems extraordinarily stupid for anyone to fault any Administration for using the media in support of its strategies. It's the way things are done.

And what do you call pressuring the CIA into painting an intelligence dossier to fit into the administration's official war plans?
