slider and iso...You can keep assets in institutions, just ask for a stock certificate instead of electronic keeping. This way they can't loan it to shorts. A stock certificate in CEF will do me just fine. :-)

Absolutely a great point on SIPIC...do the research on them & you'll realize this is a ticking time bomb.

Another great point on NOT keeping all one's assets in institutions, let alone paper.



slider re the above, do you have any concerns about ST treasury money market funds at brokers? If a broker goes belly up, I can't think of a reason why there would be a problem, but maybe you or someone else can.
