Louis, I've always wondered that too

I'll hear people say "I'm not going to try to catch a falling knife" when they mean they're not going to buy a stock that's still falling.

The closest I've heard the other way is "I'm not going to stand in front of this train" meaning they aren't trying to short stock that's still rising.

Maybe a good phrase would be "catching the train" for going with whatever direction the market going.
