I'm curious as to why you expect saddam's boys to want to engage in urban street fighting just to kill some Americans in a fight with those who creamed them last time. Do you really think that those who know of 1992 and spoke of it understand the tactics of body counts politics or the reality of all their dead friends. You figure they will want to give their lives and kill some Americans so saddam can stay in power longer, make a deal. Today America can do urban street fighting at night. Nice quiet drones. Thermal gear that works best seeing an attacker hidden at night. The attacker has none to none vision. Maybe we have lasers that fry eyeballs. It's no cake walk by any means, but psychological negatives are massive. I'd suggest it's just another afghanistan. But the only way to avoid war with saddam is to convince Iraq that this is what will be. We have the will and the resources to make what will be. I hope Iraq chooses wisely.
