Earlie

This does look like a good long term bottom. If it was one of those viscious bear market rallies, the DOW would be doing something totally insane like rising 600 points in 7 hours of trading. Instead, let's see, the Dow has gone up...uhh..hold on...hmmm...where's that Sell Button??

Earlie, it's hard to have conviction when there is so much outside noise.

Needless to say, based on volume, it's very difficult for me to call yesterday's lows a bottom, let alone even a trading bottom.

I consider a trading bottom something that will hold for 6 weeks. Not sure if we'll even get that this time around.

Where we close today is key. A strong close means consolidation with potentially more upside. Weakness and a close that is 50% of today's highs would signal a continuation of more downside.
