"But hey, it's obvious it was intended as a swipe at Bush." Awarding Carter the Nobel Peace prize is hardly a swipe at Bush. It recognizes Carter's decades of service to his country in promoting peace and harmony here and worldwide. He'd hardly have been considered if his only claim to fame was to stand up to Bush, a mere drop in the bucket of his efforts to promote peace.
