Seems like a spree killer scenario. Several of the early victims were killed on one evening and the following morning. The latest scenes have an almost surreal "drive by" feel to their selection, like he finds a gas station or other public place near a confluence of highways or other escape routes, sets up someplace where he believes he cannot be observed, fires, and flees. Those killers are probably easier to catch because they are driven by their impulses, which can lead them to be careless. I would not be surprised if he is caught before the weekend is through, maybe even today.
