Well, the bulk of the killing occurred within 10 miles of me, in some instance less than 5. No one seems to be terrified (a little nervous, sure). I had to pick up my wife at the Metro station last night, and it was bustling in a normal way. My son got a little worried a couple of times, in the beginning, when his mother and I had to run an errand, and were a little later than he expected, but he has not balked at driving to his classes, or walking from the parking garage to the quad, even though a couple of shootings occurred less than two miles from there. On the other hand, there have been a couple thousand credible leads generated through the hot lines set up, and people are alert to things like whether they are sitting ducks, or moving targets, or partially behind something, etc..........
