BTW Cactus, how was Tahoe? I saw a huge forest fire at Tahoe one year. Was there with another couple.

The wives had gone to bed. This after the cops had come to tell us to turn the music down when we were playing "House of the Rising Sun" too loud. That's a funny story in itself. Will save that one.

Anyway, this buddy of mine, now a business partner, and I were out on the balcony drinking some Crown Royal, listening to some "softer" music, taking it easy, talking about old times. I think we were what they call "bonding." (hee, hee) It was late. We had been out there a long time. Nobody else was even up around the place at the time.

We noticed a fire over the mountain. My buddy wanted to call the police. I said no need, that there were fire towers all over the place up there. So, we sat back, talked some more, sipped a little more Crown, and continued our "bonding."

After a while, the fire got bigger and my buddy again said we needed to call the police. I talked him out of it again but I must admit, I was starting to get a bit concerned because the fire was getting bigger and bigger. We went back to talking.

Finally, this fire got so big that we both were just sitting there not talking but watching this fire about to come over the hilltop into the town of Lake Tahoe. Even I was about to get up and call the police.

Then, we both realized it was the sunrise....

Oh yeah..... really.
