Pakistan has nuclear weapons.

I wouldn't worry much about that aspect. Gen Musharaf is still the "man in charge". And he knows what might happen if one of them get deployed. Think of India as a deterrent...

I would worry about activities & events in the North West Frontier Province, which borders Afghanistan.

I definitely consider that worrisome. That's one of the reasons for my comment. I noticed that Bhutto's party received the second most votes; the fundamentalist Islamic party, the third. And, in the last instance, the number of seats in parliament increased dramatically.

There are a variety of Pakistani scenarios that don't look like good ones.
