So you don't think the WH is 'running out the clock' by at the last minute pulling their previously announced support for a comprehensive investigation of the pre 9-11 intelligence failures? Well, what DO you think they are doing, you never said? Maybe they just don't want an investigation at all! Maybe they think they know best in this matter and don't want the pesky public looking over their shoulders into intelligence failures. Maybe they think they have something to lose if a truly object investigation is ever mounted... maybe they want to neuter and control it like the Warren Commission? Well, you tell us... why DON'T they want to agree to an investigation? The survivors of the 9-11 murdered would like to know.
