The total exposure by foreigners to the US dollar - as measured by aggregate foreign-owned assets - is well beyond 9T$ (T for Tera, Terrific, Terrifying or Trillion, make your pick).For instance, the foreigners hold the largest chunk of treasuries.

Of course it's the retired, and they're closest to home (just check down your own street or how some Sun City is doing) but there's more to the story than just that.
