The Italians and Spanish have proposed the same conditions, haven't they? Even the Saudis have said we could use their bases if the action is pursuant to a UN authorization.

And under those conditions, the American public would be much more wholehearted in its support, according to the polls.

So what's the problem iyo in waiting for a UN process dealing with the actions that will be taken in the event the horse doesn't fly to work itself out?
