My worse experience in DC was the year we took our children. We were in the Capital building, and wanted some lunch. The hostess in the restaurant closest to the Senate chamber wouldn't let us eat there. Said it was only for Congress. I was young and didn't want to make waves, but if that happened to me today I would demand to speak to my congressman, and I would demand an explanation. Still think there are instigators in WDC who create buzz for the sake of stirring the pot, and most would be media types. M
