If they experience Mega hits as we did....then they would most likely feel the same as we do...."Smaller" ones like we had before 9/11, (USS Cole, US Embassy's, first WTC attack, etc....didn't seem to wake us up enough....) 9/11 DID!

The GIA goal was not Tour Montparnasse, if their letterhead is to be believed, but the Eiffel tower. Following the Marseille event, Algerian planes were not allowed north of Lyon for at least six months.

Since nothing drastic happened since in France, even though the four terrorists were "terminated", I sense that both parties found common ground for a Gentlemens' agreement, like the French not chasing the GIA groups in France as long as peace prevails etc.
Such agreements did happen before with France.

For the Corsican's their terror is a bit different : their motto used to be "Pas de sang!" "No blood!"

Bombs are okay, but small, at night and against buildings. One of heir biggest being the French state tax building in Ajaccio, and everybody had a laugh about it, as the state asked the public to stop come paying etc.
