True, but was it Hizbullah who attacked Americans in the WTC? Again, the war waged by Hizbullah/Syria against Israel is an Israeli security issue, not an American one

You have a short memory, if you have forgotten 240 dead Marines in Beirut. Much as you keep saying, that the enemies of Israel have nothing to do with us, that is not how those enemies themselves regard things.

If the Israeli government really felt America's call for restraint were genuinely hurting Israel's deterrence, Sharon and the rest of the Israeli war hawks are more than welcome to refuse any further American foreign aid (and our supply of high tech weaponry) and wage their war against the entire Mideast any darn way they please.

Even if they did they would hardly get the freedom to cross America. The US gets close cooperation from Israel and takes it for granted; it hardly gets time of day from the Egyptians, who are getting nearly as much.

TEL AVIV, Israel, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Five of the seven people killed when a bomb went off in crowded cafeteria in Jerusalem's Hebrew University were U.S. citizens, Israeli police and the U.S. consulate said Thursday.

This was Hamas. They went after Americans here on purpose. Made no bones about it.
