Yes bad luck. However I don't consider someone to be a good or bad president based on thier luck.

He can do things with the budget and work with Congress so that monies are redirected into labor intensive projects, promote American products like Clinton did with BA in China; talk up the economy every chance he gets; work with Congress to extend unemployment benefits; promote research in the development of new products; meet regularly with national corporate types to pass legislature that's most beneficial to corporations and will stimulate new jobs; works with Greenspan and the Treasury to keep the dollar low in value so that there is a demand for our products; installs a Secretary of the Treasury that's more in tune with the nation......the list is endless.

And in my opinion mostly counter productive.

so please
don't tell me he has no impact. He may not be able to act unilaterally but he can act nonetheless.


Sure he can act but few actions will have a predictable positive outcome that is not more then balanced by negative consiquences.
