...and who would...

In the end... as I think about all this destruction of wealth... History does repeat itself...

Except that the wealth has not been totally destroyed.

For starters, much of the "created wealth" was mere paper, not realized hard wealth AND more importantly, a good chunk of the wealth was transferred to smarter hands...

Personally, I do not believe that we will live through another depression-like environment as many of the rabid... bears and agents of catastrophe that are around believe. [com'on you pessimistic mongers, peddlers of hell-in-a-basket, you all know who you are] -g

Hard times ahead... ? Sure, particularly for those who made the huge mistakes of believing that their financial welfare was assured just because they left it to someone else...

The ones that will probably suffer the most will be those depending on pensions (assuming they still exists)...

However, the real bear is going to be the government since as usual, they see themselves as the "great equalizers" and therefore, once they finally realize that their checkbook is empty, they will hit the "haves" to give it the the "have nots" i.e. taxes are going up by a lot...

Our jobs is to see they don't get into our wallets...
