Techlover, I was always a fan club member of more R&D and no dividends, but it doesn't seem that R&D is really the limit to development it once was.

Now it's a matter of money looking for a home. The argument seems to be that CDMA is still worth helping out by buying business [like Vesper etc]. I disagree. CDMA is now so big that demand for it will be based on business opportunities rather than a capital-destructive subsidy from QUALCOMM.

I'd rather decide which companies have 10X to 15X growth potential than to leave some purported investment guru to decide for me.

Gimme, gimme, gimme my money!

<Give me more Research and Development and more investments in companies positioned to have a 10X to 15X growth potential>

I agree with you if the dollars truly went towards R&D and strategic investments, however, if the dollars are going to employees no longer useful to the company (charging to R&D)to allow them to "rest and vest" I have a problem with that.
