Hi Tom,

My anticipated long-term general market scenario calls for...

1. a dip from May - October, 2003
2. another rally from November, 2003 - April, 2004
3. a downtrend culminating in the ultimate low of this secular bear market in October, 2006.

In drawing a parallel between the current bear and the one from 1966 - 1982, I believe that the current year corresponds to 1970 and that 2006 corresponds to 1974.

The above is based primarily on 3 cycles...

1. the 34 year secular bull/bear cycle.
2. the 4 year US presidential cycle.
3. the annual November through April cycle.

I have no anticipated scenario for precious metals after next May, except that at some point in the coming decade I expect that there will a 1980-type blow-off.

All the usual disclaimers apply. <g>

Regards,
