Chomsky's wrong on the number of deaths, best I can tell.

Best I can tell, the correct number is one or so vs his claim for 3000+. Guess that makes him wrong on the number, all right.

Think we need to debate whether the American plan (I repeat, plan) in Afghanistan was to cause mass starvation leading to the deaths of millions? Or whether every American President since WWII has been a war criminal, perhaps? These are all things he's proclaimed as established settled facts.

Maybe we should also debate the ideas of David Duke and William Pierce while we're at it? Or maybe the radical rightist idealogists on the thread have already been doing that?

There are threads on SI where you can argue about all the above - seems a shame to me for FA to go down that path.
