I agree with you and i believe AG did far more damage than he realized.

The concept of infinite prosperity could not possibly work in a diversified world.

Yup. This is because small excesses aren't cleared as they appear and these build up incrementally and persist long enough to change the psychology of the participants until it takes a seismic event to correct.
