put on the amount of mortgage (you may eventually end up with less than you thought). call on the market value of the property (you may eventually own more than you paid) - I'm getting even more confused;.

In any case it's still, at least in my case, the #1 on the liability side - but, so are the rents. iow I do agree with all your points. It's just funny, how unassuming, invisible, this entry in our spreadsheets is. It just keeps sitting there.

So we have "Good" and "Bad" deflation. I expect "Good" and "Bad" inflation too.

Perhaps our current indicators and indexes need replacing with something more in tune with what's going on..

Today, both the good and bad sorts of deflation are at work
