Someone with the high public profile, large following and supposed religious insight and humanitarianism as Falwell does not deserve to be allowed off that easily IMO. How could he not realize the repercussions of a remark like that? So he should be criticized for the remark, Condor. That is how we handle offensive remarks in the land of free speech. Fatwahs, riots and death threats are not legitimate forms of criticism nor need we regard them as such. Also, we should tell the Muslim world that sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander; we will not take their complaints about Falwell seriously while imams all over the ummah excoriate Chritianity every Friday.
