I've defined it a couple of times...let me try it this way; if you think God has a personal interest in what you do or say, then you believe in a personal God. If a person prays to a god they must think that God has a personal interest in them. Silly examples would be a basketball player who blesses himself before a foul shot or a football team that prays before a game. If you think that God caused the big bang which created the universe and has no further interest or influence on it then that, for example, would be an impersonal god. Einstein stated that he did not believe in a personal god but didn't know (hence was agnostic) about what created the universe... Jefferson was a Deist and believed that God created the universe but had no further interest or influence after that.. " Science is it's own religion, along with its own rituals of methodology... science can't answer or explain everything," Completely wrong...science is the antithesis of religion, demanding facts and proof of its laws and theories all verified by experiment and measurement. Religion merely requires belief in its tenets....no proof exists. What have you proven and validated from close observation of personal lives that proves the existence of a god? " I though we were going to refrain from biblical references... but my observations show me that man has attributes of each of the animals, i.e., sly as a fox and so on... by the way, you put those religions in caps, and certainly out of respect for a proper noun and proper name..." I said I wouldn't argue with bible quotes...what I refereed to came from my understanding of the two major American religions. Man has far more attributes of animals than that...man and all forms of animal share many common biological and physiological traits which all tend to support the theory of evolution. The scientific evidence is there to support the evolution of man. That's why I asked about your potential belief in "special creation". Your answers indicate that you do believe in special creation. Do you also believe that there are no other forms of life in the universe, only on Earth? Animals, btw, do have the same likenesses to God you say man has. They do exhibit kindness, charity, and certainly free will and independence. But I do wonder how you know what the likeness of a god is? Re: the hungry lion...humans will also instinctively kill prey when hungry and many human cultures share their food in a hierarchical way. "but he can't tell you or prove to you the book exists.": That's ridiculous...!! You can doubt the existence of a book laid in front of you but not doubt the existence of a god???? "the fact that God exists prior to any beginning can be clearly demonstrated by a close examination of our individual lives" Clearly demonstrated???? I don't think you have provided that nexus in even the remotest way to this point. You may be able to demonstrate why you believe but certainly have given no facts....
