The shut-downs are already factored into the price of the E&P's. Known news is always factored in ahead of time.

The chart is indicating the XNG is now factoring in the weather and its early cold snaps. A close above 122 for the XNG confirms a bullish reversal trend in the near future. The technical indicators are on the verge of flashing buy signals. They will have flashed buy signals at an XNG 122.

If the XNG doesn't cross up and over that 10 day moving average, currently at 121 and change, then the signals will not flash that buy sign. With the signals this close at hand, we don't miss much of a move waiting on confirmation. The safe play is to wait a day or two to see if the XNG can close above its 10 dma before entering new positions or adding to existing ones.

All in my technical, humble opinion.
