"anyone who doesn't believe jesus is god is an atheist "

This is correct according to the Gospel.

The historical documents in the New Testament provide us with numerous eyewitness accounts of Jesus' life, words and miracles.

Jewish eyewitnesses were willing to die, and did, rather than renounce their eyewitness testimonies. If the Apostles had been charlatans who had fabricated these accounts, they would have quickly renounced their stories when threatened with death. Instead, the eyewitness disciples went to their death rather than renounce their testimonies.

The anti-Christian Jewish accounts in the Talmud an Toledoth Yeshu, the accounts that modern Jews trust for their knowledge of Jesus, were written many centuries after the Resurrection of Jesus by disgruntled rabbis who clearly had an axe to grind. The oral traditions of these biased rabbis were written down and because the Jew's primary historical source about the life of Jesus.

Each man has to decided whether he will believe the historical eyewitness accounts of the Jewish Apostles and disciples who were contemporary with Jesus, or the oral legends and myths of rabbis who wrote their inventions centuries after the Resurrection.
