I disagree Jorj. He could kill these people by shooting them in the leg. The idea that you can be shot and will likely survive comes from bad TV and movies. O.K. so a head shot is more likely to kill someone than a leg shot, but the fact remains...if you get shot you're probably going to die. If you don't die...you just got lucky.

I don't think the the shooter has any connection past or present to the military. Shooting the kid crossed that line hard. It is obviously possible...but not probable.

The idea behind a high velocity, frangible bullet is that if it hits the central core of the body....that it will expand on impact and create massive hydrostatic shock that can cause rupturing of organs and vessels which leads to immediate disabling of the target. The target actually bleeds to death. Often the bullet, at closer ranges, will fragment and nick organs and arteries. Again, in this case the target bleeds to death.

A farmboy who spent his years with a .22 shooting crows can do anything this guy is doing.

THe mindset does not come from a farmboy. The mindset is simply twisted.
