I read that while all other prizes are awarded by a committee in Sweden, the Peace prize is decided upon by a group in Norway, which is formed by representatives of their political parties, in proportion to their seats in Parliament, or something along those lines. In other words, the Peace prize has always been purely and solely a political award, given by generally leftist politicians. Their implied claim of objectivity is nothing but laughable cheap smoke and mirrors. Old Nobel must be turning in his grave.
