I read your comment or wouldn't have bothered sending my own thought to you....

You said:

I'm betting that whether this guy is a former soldier or a sniper wanna-be, he's not the mystic, soothsayer type. Ergo, that the Death card was the result of an impulse purchase to suit the act, not something he had laying around the house before the spree started.

If the shooter is a former soldier or sniper, I agree he/she would probably not be the mystic type. (We agree).

I'm beginning to think that the shooter is not a former soldier or sniper, at least an American military person.

I'm beginning to think it may be a terrorist who does know something about Tarot.....at least enough to know there IS such a thing, and that he/she would know that the Death card usually indicates "transitions or new beginnings"....

I think that this/these person/s does have these cards 'hanging around the house'.....

And yes, I think it safe to say that the investigators are doing just that....searching out all leads into this possibility....

Here's a current (Oct 10) msnbc newslink....

I just want to say that I suspect that women likely investigate and use Taro cards more than men, if typically for tricks and fun at parties. Perhaps this is true and raises the odds of female involvement.

A talking head on FOX yesterday stated that there is a video shoot-em up game that uses the phrase "I Am God." He felt strongly that a teenage male game zombie is a likely perp.

KLP noted the "spotter" 2nd person aspect, and a driver/watcher signaling the shooter that no one is around to hear along the escape route would be helpful. He might shoot then run to pair up and drive or shop, enjoying known high odds of being unseen during escape, and appearing all too normal.

A teenage duo? Bonnie and Clyde. um...In Cold Blood..you know, Robert Blake and his buddy(ggg). I'm sure there are many other willing or protective pairings of various sorts in the history of murder.

It's not impossible that there are occultists in the military, but I feel far more justified in taking the shorter leap by speculating that this individual acquired the card to advance his mystique and heighten fear rather than that he's Wiccan or something.

lol, I think to do Wicca you have to be a woman. And yes, the Army does recognize Wicca as a "religion".
