It would seem that EP's bond are trading about 60-65 cents on the dollar? Is that what other's calculate?

I'm somewhat concerned about those levels, then again, if they were higher the stock would probably be much higher.

ItsAllCyclical, in my technical exercise, I take "NOTHING" into consideration except the technical indicators. Since the markets are forward looking, and always correct, even when they're wrong they're correct, I have to assume known news is already factored into the price. I have to assume the technical indicators are reflecting everything that you or I already know. Anything else is pure speculation.

What the indicators are telling me today, is that EP is priced to the point where expected news will cause a sell-off, pleasant unexpected news will allow the price to break through resistance. The indicators are saying the price is close enough to the good news point to wait. If good news doesn't come, EP pulls back.

Nothing is 100% accurate in predicting price movement, but the odds are better than the Max Pain odds that EP is almost priced to perfection until some unknown positive comes along.

We'll see if this exercise is successful or not. Hopefully I can gain knowledge from it, one way or the other.

Actually on this sight it's 10.00! The 'Pain' gurus I follow are reluctant to discuss anything other than QQQ CSCO INTC MSFT...the heavy fliers.

Max Pain is really only reliable in stocks with a total of at least 25,000 combined put and sell options near the max pain number.
